28 allzone @ Bangkok Design Festival

Octorber became a crazy month here in Bangkok, especially if you are a designer. Beginning this year, Bangkok Design Festival, is a series of design events to create a kind of regular happening in Bangkok.. (like those in Milan's Salone del Mobile, London's 100% Design and so on) The key person here is Pratarn Teeratada of art4d magazine.





The events are several... on all design aspects from very commercial (Bangkok International Gift Fare - BIG) to very experiement (Consumptions R Us design workshop on health y consumption)


Among the events, allzone organized a small cute event at our allzone convention space.. allzone film session. T offered his beloved movie En Constuccion, a Spanish movie about a process of construction site that create people lives around... very nice and interesting...



T and Pirak, apart from being the technicians of the film session, they are the real energy of this Bangkok Design Festival main events.

Of course, a lot of foods and drinks...


There were 7-8 guests besides our friends.. they were very nice and kind. Although we are 'professional' designers, we didn't know much about how to organize a perfect film show.. there were a lot of 'unprofessional' things.. But the guest were patient and enjoyed somehow...


Apart from the film session, in MINIMART project of art4d at Central World Plaza, which is a small shop where designers could send their products to be sold especiall during the week of Bangkok Design Festival, allzone made a small suitcase tag written " Good Design is Not Learned, It is realized" (we don't remember where we got this from, but it sounds cool) :) Because we are all world travellers, the tag would be very essential to our life..


Another thing at MINIMART is this 'superlover' limited edition T-shirt. Some years ago before allzone was set up, we worked as a group called 'superlover' (with Aum and T). Of course, we love the name so much. Unfortunately, many people misunderstood our business - they would ask if we make movies, magazine for adults :O. However, we love the concept of being 'superlover' because we love a lot... we make the simple T-shirt with cute phases "contemporary lover" (for generation Y lover), "hate me, love my works" (this one is for workaholic lover like us) and "love is more" (for radical modernist lover who certainly love the fat guy with a big cigar, Mies Van de Rohe).

Actually I personally did the other two events with Bangkok Design Festival: How to...Soup Exhibition and Consumption 'R Us workshop.

Finally Bangkok Design Festival is over... life is back to normal. Well sometimes it is not bad to be in peaceful moments...
